New postdoc Chad Brock joined the lab in February. Welcome, Chad! Chad comes to us from a PhD at UT Austin where he worked in Dan Bolnick’s lab on the evolutionary ecology of Canadian stickleback color and vision. Prior to that he completed a masters degree at Washington State University with Mike Alfaro, where he worked on methods for diversification rate estimation. He’ll be further expanding his toolkit as a postdoc, working on using genomic data to understand history and processes in cichlid adaptive radiation. Below you can see Chad enjoying work at one of his British Columbia field sites. We assure him the tropical African waters won’t be quite as chilly!
