Congratulations to Joana Meier on her new paper “Ancient hybridization fuels rapid fish adaptive radiations,” just out in Nature Communications. This paper is a major part of Joana’s PhD dissertation work, and it revolutionizes our understanding of the history of the cichlid fishes in the Lake Victoria region. Excellent work, Joana! Read more about the paper from the University of Bern press release.
Thanks to the University of Wyoming for publishing a nice summary of Katie’s involvement in the work as well.
