The Wagner Lab is welcoming two new lab members this fall!
Liz Mandeville is a postdoc working with Katie and Annika Walters on a Wyoming Game & Fish funded project on hybridization between rainbow trout and native Yellowstone cutthroat trout in the North Fork Shoshone. Liz just finished her PhD here at the University of Wyoming, working with Alex Buerkle on hybridization and conservation genetics of catostomid fishes in western rivers. Welcome Liz! We’re excited to be working with Liz and Annika on our first Wyoming-based project.

Jessica Rick is a new PhD student in the lab. She comes to UW after finishing a masters at University of Minnesota, Deluth, on genetics of Minnesota’s wolf populations, with a focus on the effects of hunting on population connectivity. Jessica is excited to shift her focus here at UW to fish genetics. It’s great to have you, Jessica!

Since Jessica seems so comfortable wearing shorts while sitting next to Alaskan glaciers, we think she’ll do well in Laramie winters
