Julian Junker successfully defended his PhD, entitled “Ecology and genetics of Lake Tanganyika’s pelagic fish community,” at the University of Bern on February 1, 2021. He was co-supervised by Katie and Ole Seehausen, and funded by a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation to study the limnology and evolution of Lake Tanganyika’s pelagic community.
